LETIZIA DE BERNARDI

About me

I started playing with computers when I was seven, and I never really stopped.
I’ve always been fascinated by how things work: the mechanisms behind images, technologies, spaces and experiences. In 2020, together with Letizia Cagnola and a group of friends,we founded Artilaide, an independent space in Gallarate, through which we developed projects, artworks and exhibitions. Around the same time, I began collaborating within the independent music scene, gradually bringing together visual research, experimentation and live environments. My practice has never followed a single medium. I like learning how things are made, taking them apart, combining different techniques and discovering new tools along the way.
I’m always looking for something new to learn, even if it means starting from scratch. A large part of my visual language comes from the imagery I grew up with: plastic objects, cartoons, anime, videogames and the digital aesthetics of my childhood. These references continue to resurface in my work, mixed with technology, experimentation and whatever I happen to be curious about at that moment.

Always curious, always experimenting.
