Synth Chimera
Synth_chimera is an interactive installation that allows the viewer to engage with a hybrid, genderless creature, composed of photogrammetry fragments.
Stolen and reassembled body parts. The creature exists in a state of idle passivity, which is disrupted whenever someone interacts with the mouse positioned between the viewer and the entity. As the viewer manipulates the mouse, the camera perspective shifts to follow their movements, while the creature begins to embody the personality imposed upon it by its God-creator. This personality is processed autonomously, bringing the creature to life in a unique way every time.
The installation, along with the artwork marialetizia_cagnola_texture_20_04_2023 by Letizia Cagnola, texts and curation by Sidonie Pellegrino, is part of the exhibition project Homo ex Machina, organized by the Artilaide collective in 2023 and reproposed in Fabbrica del Vapore in 2024 in the New Visions exhibition
